Bringing together inspiring stories to empower women, boost confidence and improve wellbeing. Skarlette creates a community to support women through the recovery and healing of breast cancer.
Skarlette was founded by friends Heather & Kate. Heather a nurse and two-time breast cancer survivor, Kate a retired pilot and passionate seamstress, noticed a lack of flat chested lingerie. Through their supportive friendship and determination, they created a unique bra that empowers flat-chested women and cancer survivors across the world.
Skarlette is empowering women to feel beautiful in their skin - breasts or no breasts. It’s also about educating and informing women about breast health and breast cancer to save lives. We raise awareness through reflective stories, inspirational tales, and enlightening articles.
Amanda Savage Brown, PhD LCSW, is our most recent collaborator, and we are looking forward to the release of her book. The information she shares here about breast implant illness and facing explanting, is eye-opening. "The stories of women who explant to flat not only put a lump in my throat, they quite literally render me speechless. To understand why these stories impact me so profoundly, let me share a bit of personal context and professional perspective. As a mental health practitioner facing breast implant loss, I empathically and compassionately connected with the mental and emotional distress women may be feeling over breast implant through explant journey. But breast implants to explant, laced with cancer-related fear and loss, would usher in an entirely new silhouette and a foreign sense of self."
Skarlette is here to provide an outlet for those tough times in your life – sharing inspirational stories from women across the world. As women, we all know how tough it is to find the balance between our inner power and the outside world. Skarlette stories offer encouragement, hope and happiness to those who need it most.
