Prevent Breast Cancer is the only UK charity entirely dedicated to the prediction and prevention of breast cancer, committed to freeing the world from the disease altogether. Promoting early diagnosis, screening and lifestyle changes, PBC believe they can stop the disease before it starts. The charity is situated at the only breast cancer prevention centre in the UK, in Manchester, right at the front-line in the fight against the disease.
This is the reason Skarlette supports the work of the charity, and Heather and two of Skarlette's models take part in campaigns to raise awareness and funds - and also have lots of fun together! -

Skarlette's INDX Lingerie & Swimwear Show

Skarlette's first apprearance at the INDX show was fabulous. The opportunity for buyers to come and see and feel our lingerie in person, listening to their comments, well it made both of us (Kate & Heather) feel very proud. We achieved something else that wasn't immediately on our agenda, but we can't share that gem just now. What we can share, is a preview of the swimwear prototypes that we took down to the show. We didn't have our finished garments, but really couldn't pass up this opportunity to share our new category Skarlette swimwear range which will be available in a range of gorgeous bold colours. -

The priviledge of being invited to a Spa as a Flat Chested Woman was a wonderful experience for Skarlette. Raising awareness for Prevent Breast Cancer and of flat closure as a surgical option as part of breast cancer treament, is the type of event that we love to be present at. Showing off our lingerie and candles reinforced the need for our products.

We feel extremely proud to have attended the BBWA22 at Wembley, London and to have been awarded with a silver award for our New Business start-up. It means so much to have this recognition, especially as neither of us had previous business experience prior to launching our beautiful lingerie brand. Our achievement helping women to transform the way they feel about themselves having gone through breast cancer surgery is our best reward..

Skarlette is getting bigger

When we ask our customers what we can do to do better, the response is mostly "Make bigger sizes". Of course we have wanted to offer a comprehensive range of sizes from the beginning, but that means having plenty of money to achieve that. What we love at Skarlette is this growth journey. We don't want to get to the finish line without everything we learn, everyone we meet and the ups and downs along the way. All products are now available in XL! For our business efforts and achievments, Skarlette has been selected as finalists in both the EVAS22 and Best Businesswomen Awards - we learn if we are winners in September!

June 2022 Adventures and Achievements of Skarlette

Skarlette, in June 2022, has seen one of our busiest times, great adventures and lots of achievements. We're just over half way through and still have more coming this month! We attended our first international lingerie and swimwear expo at the Interfiliere, Paris. Oh, so many creative ideas started to flow! We now want our big investor to come and help them all start transforming into reality. Talking really is the way forward.

What inspired us and the nitty gritty of starting our Skarlette lingerie business

Having proved our market, we want to talk to you about finding suppliers, choosing how to sell and how to take big steps beyond building our website and designing our Skarlette patterns. Traditional post mastectomy bras weren't working for me, Kate fixed that with the unique design of the Skarlette. Being a nurse of many years, I wanted to fix that for many more women facing the same challenges. -
