North West Cancer Awards Collaboration Event

The North West Cancer Awards was just a vision back in July this year. Three women sat chatting in the sun about how they can make a difference.

The 3 women being Codilia Gapare of C-Lash and Kate & Heather of Skarlette. Making a positive difference for the better within the cancer community is at the foundation of both businesses, so the North West Cancer Awards seemed the best idea.

The idea was to reach men, women and young people from all backgrounds and communities, to recognise and celebrate their achievements, our unsung heroes. What an emotionally charged evening.

What an honour and priviledge to have this opportunity. The room was full of love, positivity and hope. To think this all started with breast cancer! There would not have been C-Lash or Skarlette and therefore, no North West Cancer Awards hosted by these two female founded companies, as we never would have met.

Hearing about phenomenal amounts of funds raised for different cancer charities, hair loss services, wedding gifts and incredible awareness raising, everybody in the room was blown away. There were tears, there was laughter, there were standing ovations... leading to a natural request for more North West Cancer Awards in the future.

Skarlette and C-Lash need to get their heads together to plan for the future now. The foundations are in place and there are many deserving charities to raise money and awareness for - this year's nominated charity being Prevent Breast Cancer, a charity to close to both company founders' hearts.

The awards ceremony was a perfect opportunity to see Skarlette's team of founders, photographer and models all dressed up, away from the work place, from behind the camera, and for a change - fully dressed!
